Business and History
Mack Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Mack Group Corporation, is one of four divisions dedicated to providing full-service contract manufacturing services. Mack Group provides:
- Electronics manufacturing
- Injection molding
- Sheet metal fabrication
- Design services
- Full product assembly
A privately held corporation, Mack Group was founded in 1920 in Little Falls, New Jersey; the company made the world’s first-ever plastic part used in a commercial product for the Otis Elevator Company. Today—a century later—the company’s headquarters are in Arlington, Vermont. Mack Group operates eleven locations throughout Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, and Mexico, with a total of 1.5 million square feet of manufacturing space.
Financial Stability
Mack Group has earned a 5A1 D&B rating, the highest credit rating available. The corporation has no short-term or long-term debt and finances its own acquisitions and growth. With more than 2,500 employees, Mack Group generates approximately $500 million in annual revenue.
Mack Group’s Four Divisions
Mack Technologies: A leading provider of electronic manufacturing services for highly complex products. Specialties include circuit board assembly, system integration and configuration, test, design support, and fulfillment solutions. Mack Technologies’ global presence includes locations in Westford, Massachusetts; Melbourne, Florida; and Juarez, Mexico.
Mack Molding: A leading supplier of molded plastic parts, fabricated metal parts, and high-level assemblies to the medical, industrial, transportation, energy/environment, computer and business equipment, defense/aerospace, and consumer markets. Specialties include design, prototyping, custom injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, full-service machining, and total product assembly, test and distribution. Five locations include Arlington, Vermont (2); Cavendish, Vermont; Inman, South Carolina; and Statesville, North Carolina.
Mack Prototype: A full-service plastics prototyping company with specialties in rapid prototyping, rapid tooling, and low-volume plastics molding. Located in Gardner, Massachusetts.
Synectic Engineering: A full-service product development company focused exclusively on design, research, development, and manufacturing of medical device products. Specialties include design engineering, intellectual property, pre-clinical testing, and manufacturing. Located in Woodbridge, Connecticut.
