Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the customer’s day to day business.  Reporting to the Manager of Program Management, the Program Manager ensures that customers’ product cost, quality, and availability goals are achieved.  The Program Manager assures that cross-functional resources are properly allocated to support customer schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all commercial aspects of the program (receivables, ECO costing, excess and obsolete inventory, material and manufacturing statuses etc.)
  • Interface with the customer. First-line contact for customer to handle any requests and issues.
  • Maintain a synergy among all departments to achieve maximum customer results.
  • Generate program budgets and manage within agreed allocations.
  • Responsible for quarterly/annual customer revenue projections and for ensuring sufficient contractual order covers are in place.
  • Work with sales organization and customer to facilitate completion of a manufacturing agreement.
  • Formulate, organize and track customer NPI tasks and actions.
  • Provide customer feedback metrics, as appropriate.
  • Conduct team meetings, document action items and keep team apprised of customer concerns.
  • Assist in ensuring programs are appropriately staffed to meet customer requirements and Mack’s business needs as required.
  • Support the Continuous Improvement process by ensuring Customer Support Team participation in Quality Teams, reviewing and implementing ECOs, driving New Product Introductions (NPIs) and following through on Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
  • Develop, review and modify NPI procedures, as needed. Ensure the process is followed.
  • Review pricing and all changes with finance.
  • Support Sales and Marketing.
  • Coordinating quoting activity for changes to existing products or new business from existing customers, as required.
  • Participate in internal ISO audits.
  • May train and mentor other employees.
  • Support MRB analysis and disposition of non-conforming material processes.
  • Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to lead in a multi-tasking highly dynamic work situation
  • Hands on team player with customer interface experience
  • General knowledge of purchasing, engineering, and operations
  • Experience in international contract manufacturing is a plus
  • Proficient business tools/ applications knowledge (i.e. Email, Excel, MS Word etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to design creative solutions that meet both the company and customer goals concurrently
  • Strong systems skill and understanding of ERP systems
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a project/program team environment
