Conference focused on global and industry macro events that are shaping our businesses, industry, and the broader electronics supply chain

MELBOURNE, FL, May 24, 2016: Mack Technologies, Inc. hosted its seventh annual Supplier Conference in Melbourne, Florida on May 19th. “This conference is vital in addressing key issues facing the overall industry and how Mack Technologies can work with our supply base, leading to closer and more constructive business relationships” said Wayne Ellis, Materials Manager at Mack Technologies’ Florida facility.

This year’s theme was “Mackro Vision” and was kicked off with a presentation by Bryan Holms, Owner of United Space Coast Cables, on “The Importance of Building Relationships”. Other guest speakers shared how their companies are reacting to the changing macroeconomic conditions throughout the world. Speakers included Gary Shanahan, Business Development Director, Digikey; Jane Solverson, Field Sales Manager, TTI; Walt Tobin, CEO/EVP, Electronic Representatives Association. Wrapping up the day was Mack Technologies’ President, Will Kendall, with an update on the company’s performance and the overall state of the Electronics Manufacturing Industry.

Intertwined with the presentations were in-depth discussions on the roles of manufacturers, distributors and manufacturers’ representatives. Wayne Ellis commented, “We are looking for ways on how we can work together more effectively, on the effects of industry consolidation, the impact of various commodities in the industry, the need for next generation level of flexibility, and the effects of changing workforce requirements”.

As in previous years, Mack Technologies led a philanthropic effort benefitting the Daily Bread Soup Kitchen of Melbourne, FL.  Many participants in the event joined Mack in raising money and donating food to feed the hungry.
