Initiative reflects first apprenticeship program for surface mount and circuit board technicians in the United States
Cape Canaveral, Florida – October 11, 2023 – Mack Technologies, a leading electronic manufacturing services provider, proudly announces the launch of Florida’s first-ever Surface Mount/Circuit Board Technician Apprenticeship Program, marking a significant milestone for the state and the nation in cultivating talent for this crucial industry.
The Surface Mount/Circuit Board Technician Apprenticeship Program is registered with the State of Florida’s Apprenticeship System, Division of Career and Adult Education. Additionally, the program aligns with the standards recommended by the Florida Apprenticeship Advisory Council and is an integral part of the National Apprenticeship Program.
Mack was honored with recognition during a ceremony on October 11, 2023, held at the Canaveral Port Authority in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The prestigious acknowledgment was presented by the National Institute for Innovation and Technology (NIIT) in collaboration with Florida’s Apprenticeship Advisory Council. The ceremony took place as part of the Semiconductors, Nano Technology & Manufacturing Supply Chain Registered Apprenticeship Accelerator event.
The Surface Mount/Circuit Board Technician Apprenticeship Program is a groundbreaking initiative aimed at addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals in the electronics manufacturing industry. This program provides aspiring technicians with a structured curriculum, hands-on training, and real-world experience, ensuring they are well-equipped to contribute to the field upon completion.
